Ticket to Play: 

Reminder only 2 weeks remaining prior to tryouts, you must have your ticket to play from Arlene at the Athletic office.  (Download forms off the Poway High website).  No ticket to Play no tryouts, CIF Rules.

Registration: is scheduled on 2/24/12 at Poway High School.  Varsity 5-6 p.m. and JV 6-7 p.m. A parent must be present at registration, dues and uniform deposits will be collected. More info will be coming.

Varsity Players Parents only: $150 deposit will be collected at registration for Northern California trip on 4/2 to 4/4/12.  You can also apply credit from Program Booklet advertisements towards the trip.

Scrimmage: Saturday, 3/3/12 All Day Scrimmage- Scripps, LCC, TP. We will set up a snack shack. We need donations of Water, Gatorade, Apples, Bananas, Energy bars, Candy Bars, Power Bars, etc… More details to come. Please sign up for your donations.

Ticket to play must be picked up before 2/17/12.

Tryout Location Change again: Sorry for the confusion, Tryouts was changed back to Meadowbrook from 5-7 p.m. 2/20 to 2/23/12. Please arrive 15 min early to get your number and registration form. Bring Goggles, mouth guard, lacrosse stick, running shoes and turf cleats.

Program Booklet Reminder:

In order to receive 50% credit of ads sold towards registration fees; All payments collected for advertisements in the  program booklet are due at registration on Saturday 2/25/12;  Artwork can be submitted at later date. Spend the next couple of weeks asking local businesses to advertise in the Poway Girls Lacrosse Booklet.

Pre-Season Team Bonding Event:  Coach Sarah would like all girls lacrosse players to attend the following event as a team.

SDSU Season Opener: San Diego State University is entering their inaugural season as a NCAA Division 1 Women's Lacrosse program this spring. Their home opener is scheduled for Friday, February 17th at 7:00pm vs Cincinnati. This would be a great opportunity to see a high level of lacrosse, support this program in our backyard, as well as support one of our Poway Alumni (Christina Ricciardulli) who is a member of the team. Violette Jackson has offered to coordinate a pizza party before the game at her house and carpools to SDSU. If interested contact Violette directly (violette_jackson@yahoo.com) or plan meeting the team at the game if you can attend!

IMPORTANT REMINDER: The program booklet is a fundraiser to help cover your daughter's registration fees.  50% OF ALL ADVERTISEMENTS IS CREDITED DIRECTLY TOWARDS YOUR DAUGHTERS REGISTRATION FEES.  ONLY ONE MONTH LEFT to sell program booklet ads.  All checks from advertising businesses must be collected and submitted at registration on 2/24/12 in order to receive your credit.

Get those ads from your hair dressers, real estate agents, dentists, gardner, anyone you do business with ask them to place an ad in our program booklet.  The businesses will be showcased by our announcer at all the home games and they will receive a tax deduction letter.  Please see attached forms.  Business card size ad is only $25, Quarter page is $50, half page is $100. 20% of all proceeds will be donated to our teams Girls Lacrosse of Poway.

Program Booklet for Players: This is a great way to offset registration dues. You can sell ads to family, friends, hair stylists, nail artists etc.. All ads sold, player will receive 50% of proceeds towards registration fees. Amounts are credited at registration. You can start selling ads now, any questions, contact Toy Pitzer at taabpitzer@cox.net.

Save the Date: Wine Tasting Casino Night Fundraiser will be held again at the Shoemaker’s Home on 4/14/12. More details soon. This is a fun adult evening with friends, parents and coaches. Cost is $35 per person.

Fundraising Shopping, Visit our website for info and shopping links at phsgirlslax.com: All you have to do is shop at websites that you typically shop at i.e. Apple I Tunes, Buy.com, etc.. but instead of going directly to the site, log on to PHSGIRLSLAX.Com and then access the link through our website. We have 10 affiliate programs so far and we will be adding more over time. When you click on the banner ad on our website, you will be taken to the shopping website. Buy whatever it is you want, or make airfare reservations etc.. and Poway Girls Lacrosse gets a percentage from the proceeds ranging from 10 to 60 percent of your total purchase price. There is nothing to sign up for, it will not cost you more, but it will greatly benefit our program.
